PRONIK SPECIMENS, founded by Prodromos Nikolaidis, is a mineral dealership dedicated to providing choice mineral specimens for your collection!

All specimens — both available and sold — can be found on the website’s Specimens section. After browsing there, you might, hopefully, exclaim: “Wow! I love this specimen and I’d like to acquire it! Let’s do it! Wait… how can I actually do that???“. Mineral collecting is an activity almost always enriched by fascinating stories and personal interactions. While online shopping is a wonderful tool that bridges the gap between people and minerals that may be separated by thousands of kilometers, it has also made the experience feel a bit more faceless and transactional. Although we embrace the technology, we still like to keep a drop of romanticism alive! Therefore, no automatic checkouts or “add to cart” buttons exist on this website. To order, simply reach out and let us know which specimen caught your eye (or made you drool!). So, how can you get in touch? Easy — use whatever works best for you: email, Instagram, Facebook, ebay, e-rocks or any other platform where you can find us (just google our name!). Just please, don’t go too romantic and send a message by pigeon — our cat isn’t very fond of those flying messengers. Once we connect, we’ll discuss the specimen details, shipping options, and the best payment method for you. We primarily prefer Euro €, but we’re happy to discuss alternatives — even Bitcoin ₿. Shipping costs are calculated based on your address, the package weight, and any additional customization requested at the time of ordering. Each specimen is carefully packaged to ensure it reaches you safely. Combined shipping is available.

When a specimen is sold, a tag indicating so is added to the specimen’s main photo. Use the filter option if you want to see only available or only sold specimens. The reason for maintaining sold specimens on the website is for archival purposes. As any seasoned collector knows, a great part of a specimen’s value is inherently connected to the associated provenance information. And for PRONIK SPECIMENS, provenance is of paramount importance. Every specimen sold by PRONIK SPECIMENS is associated with a unique inventory number which can be used as a reference to trace your specimen. The easiest way to do this is to simply write the specimen number in the address bar of your browser in the Specimens section (for example, if your specimen number is 1, then the address bar should read: pronikspecimens.com/specimens/1). The specimen number can be found written on the accompanying label. Please note, though, that in some of the earliest printed labels, the specimen number was not included. You can always contact PRONIK SPECIMENS and we can work out together your specimen number — that’s even if you have acquired the specimen indirectly but you know that at some point the specimen was once in our repository. In any case, drop a line to discuss your specimen and you may find out one or two hidden Easter eggs!
