A fantastic combination specimen of fluorite, pyrite, and calcite from the Moscona mine in Asturias, Spain. This piece serves as an excellent demonstration of sequential mineral deposition: first the honey-yellow fluorite crystallized, followed by a sprinkling of pyrite crystals, and finally the white calcite formed on top, like a cherry on the cake! Adding to its appeal, the latest formed layer of fluorite is strongly fluorescent under longwave UV light. A truly wonderful specimen—both informative and highly aesthetic.
