Description
Here’s a very interesting specimen featuring two botryoidal, apple-green smithsonite crystals on a piece of brown limonitic matrix. The two smithsonite aggregates, growing in opposite directions, have a matte texture and an overall appearance that amusingly alludes to some kind of fungus growing on rock! A decidedly curious specimen from Greece’s Lavrion mines.
