Description
A specimen of andradite from the skarn zones nearby the village of Lefkopetra in Xanthi, Greece. The garnet crystals exhibit a deep brown color and are accompanied by minor green epidote. The largest of the garnet crystals measures 1.4 cm. The specimen originates from an older collection (label included) and was collected in May of 2001.
