A pseudomorph specimen from Mozambique. In this piece, sericite—the fine-grained variety of muscovite—has completely replaced the original apatite while perfectly preserving its crystal form. An excellent example of mineral replacement, this specimen is particularly appealing to collectors with an interest in crystallography and dynamic mineralogical processes.
