Description
A pseudomorph from the White Desert near the Farafra oasis, Egypt. This specimen features dark brown goethite that has completely replaced the original marcasite while faithfully preserving its distinctive, spiky crystal habit. Interestingly, the specimen has been naturally abraded by the powerful desert winds and the action of blowing sand, resulting in smooth, naturally polished surfaces. A beautiful and characteristic specimen from this remote Egyptian locality.
