Description
A specimen of andradite and hedenbergite from Serifos, Greece. This piece features a beautiful combination of these two mineral species. The hedenbergite forms long, green prismatic crystals with excellent terminations, reminiscent of towering architectural structures. Nestled among the hedenbergite terminations are two andradite crystals, the larger measuring 1.1 cm and the smaller 0.5 cm. Notice how elegantly a single hedenbergite crystal pierces through the larger dodecahedral andradite crystal, creating a particularly striking and aesthetic composition.
