A specimen of conichalcite from the Lavrio mining district in Greece. This piece features abundant millimeter-sized spherules of vivid bright-green conichalcite, attractively scattered across a brown gossan matrix. The earthy color of the matrix provides excellent contrast, further enhancing the striking green color of the conichalcite. An attractive and representative specimen from Greece’s most prolific and historically important mineral-collecting district.
