Description

Several small pyrite octahedrons are combined together in such an amazingly aesthetic way! The octahedrons are attached to each other in a way to allow for a small natural hole to be formed in the middle! On top of all that, some of the pyrite faces are sprinkled with patches of sphalerite and of an accessory unidentified white clayey mineral! The latter exhibits no reactivity to hydrochloric acid, thereby excluding calcite as a plausible identification. The miner of the specimen has posited it as crandallite although this assertion must be treated with care as no definite analysis has been undertaken to the extent of our knowledge.
