Description
A marvellous specimen of a dominant highly lustrous pyrite! As a bonus, sphalerite and crandallite are encrusting the base! From the world famous Huanzala mine in Peru!
Post-sale update (24 Dec 2025): Note that regarding the reported presence of crandallite on mineral specimens from the Huanzala mine, a Jul 2022 analysis suggested that this mineral may have formed during specimen cleaning (for example, through treatment with phosphoric acid) rather than being part of the original, naturally occurring paragenesis.
