Description
A specimen of epidote and andradite from the Xanthi skarn zones in Greece. At one end of the piece, the epidote crystals are beautifully terminated, while at the opposite end their growth appears to have been “blocked” by a translucent patch of brownish andradite crystals and minor quartz. The epidote displays a beautiful deep green color with excellent lustre, complemented by the contrasting tones of the garnet. Field-collected in June 2017.
