Description
A specimen of ruby from the small occurrence near the village of Paranesti, Greece. In this piece, several corundum crystals seem to float inside a “green sea” of pargasitic matrix. Close examination of the specimen reveals speckles of blue kyanite here and there. A beautiful and representative example of Greek ruby crystals. Field-collected in April 2023.
