Description
Here’s a classic example of the typical mineral paragenesis found in the Moscona Mine, Spain! White calcite is accompanied by honey-yellow fluorite. The calcite shows a distinctly structural appearance, while the fluorite displays an intriguing color gradation, transitioning from yellow at the rims to a darker shade in the core. Minor accessory minerals include white dolomite, and small blobs of pyrite (and/or chalcopyrite?) can also be observed—best seen under magnification!
