Description
A specimen of hausmannite from the N’Chwaning II mine in South Africa. This piece exhibits the characteristic pseudooctahedral, pagoda-like structure for hausmannite as commonly encountered for the species from this mine. The lustrous hausmannite crystals are complemented with subtle red andradite garnets and white calcite tufts that create a pleasing contrast in both color and texture.
