Description
A highly aesthetic specimen of black hausmannite, beautifully sprinkled and adorned with pinkish-red andradite crystals! It comes from the N’Chwaning II mine — one of the premier mineral localities in South Africa — where such strikingly structured hausmannite crystals occur. The crystal aggregates form the characteristic multi-faced, pagoda-like structures that give them a pseudo-octahedral appearance. A truly wonderful specimen from a classic locality!
