Description
Pyrite: One of the most common sulfide minerals, found in countless localities around the world. However, what you see here is a specimen from a locality very rarely seen on the market — Egypt’s Eastern Desert! When was the last time you saw a specimen offered from Egypt?! This piece features two pyrite cubes still embedded in the original matrix rock. The pyrite has most likely been altered to goethite but retains the characteristic cubic habit. A wonderful and uncommon specimen from a very hard-to-find locality! Personally collected in April 2024.
