Here’s a wonderful specimen featuring several bright silver carrollite crystals elegantly perched on matrix! The spectacular triangular striations on the crystal faces, combined with the superb metallic lustre, make for a very aesthetic specimen! Today, the Democratic Republic of the Congo is known to produce the finest crystals of this species, most notably from the Kamoya II South Mine, which this specimen most likely originates from. However, an older label (shipped with the specimen) records only “Kambove” as the locality, and thus it is registered here accordingly to ensure accuracy and cover the small chance that the specimen actually originates from a different mine.
