Description
An impressive specimen from the Madan ore district in Bulgaria. The paragenesis includes galena, quartz and sphalerite with minor pyrite and chalcopyrite. A cluster of intricately formed galena crystals sits slightly off-center on a base of multiple spiky white quartz crystals. The transparent sphalerite associated with the galena displays an attractive yellowish-green color that comes to life when backlit. Overall, a highly aesthetic specimen with excellent balance.
