Description
A fantastic hematite iron rose perched elegantly on a small matrix fragment! The piece is beautifully balanced and immediately draws the eye with its overall form. Under magnification, a tiny patch of rutile crystals can be seen on the matrix, adding an extra touch of interest and quality. When the specimen was acquired, the information passed along verbally was that it originated from the Binn valley. If we’d like to narrow this down more specifically, it is reasonable to assume that it likely comes from the Cervadone area, as it shows strong visual similarities to iron roses known from that locality.
