Description
An attractive Mexican specimen featuring yellow-brown mimetite in a delicate arborescent growth habit. Tucked among the branching mimetite are several well-formed, euhedral white calcite crystals that provide a pleasing contrast and enhance the overall aesthetics of the piece. The specimen came into our possession with a label indicating the locality as “Ojuela” (this label will be included with the specimen). However, the distinctive arborescent habit of the mimetite, combined with its association with calcite, is far more characteristic of material from Santa Eulalia, which is very likely the correct locality.
