Description
A specimen of cylindrite from the Santa Cruz mine in Bolivia. Cylindrite, a lead-iron-tin-antimony sulfosalt, is one of the most crystallographically intriguing mineral species, forming distinctive cylindrical crystals from which its name is derived. This specimen comes from the type locality and features several grey-black cylindrite crystals forming a tightly packed aggregate.
