Description
A specimen of calcite from the Esperanza mine in the Lavrio mining district, Greece. This piece features multiple brown calcite crystals growing in a tightly packed habit, giving the appearance of larger scalenohedral crystals. The specimen comes from a 2025 find characterized by calcite crystals displaying an exceptional vitreous lustre, which immediately makes them stand out.
