Description
A specimen of fluorite from Sounio in the Lavrio mining district, Greece. In this piece, three cubic faces have been nicely developed and exhibit a subtle purplish hue that gently fades from the crystal faces toward the core, creating a subtle color zoning effect. Adding further mineralogical interest, the reverse of the specimen is adorned with tiny green malachite tufts perched on the fluorite.
