Description
A manganite specimen from the Wessels mine in the Kalahari Manganese Field—home to the largest manganese ore reserves on Earth. Manganite rarely forms well-defined crystals, making this piece an exception. It features intriguing curved crystals with excellent metallic luster. Adding further interest, close inspection reveals small, transparent calcite crystals attached to the manganite, though they are not easily visible due to their clarity against manganite’s dark color.
