Description

A pseudomorph from the White Desert near Farafra, Egypt. This specimen displays superb stalactitic growth composed of numerous sharp, spiky crystals that were originally marcasite and were subsequently replaced by goethite, perfectly preserving the morphology of the precursor mineral. Rounded aeolian quartz grains, shaped by persistent desert winds, remain trapped and embedded within the pseudomorphic structure, adding a distinctive record of the specimen’s desert environment.
