Description
A specimen of prase quartz and hematite from the island of Serifos, Greece. A main prismatic prase quartz crystal is beautifully surrounded along its perimeter by smaller, more slender crystals. At the base, patches of specularite hematite, akin to iron roses, can be seen. Finally, the base of the specimen is sprinkled with very fine, needle-like, second-generation quartz crystals, making this a truly intriguing piece from this classic Greek locality.
