A specimen of andradite and hedenbergite from Serifos, Greece. This exceptional piece features a prominent “ridge” of prismatic, dark-green hedenbergite crystals arranged in a striking columnar formation. Crowning this hedenbergite ridge are several crystallographically textbook-quality andradite garnets, the largest measuring 7 mm. Both the hedenbergite and andradite crystals are exceptionally sharp and well terminated, creating overall a superb and remarkable Serifos specimen.
