Description
A specimen of antigorite from Edessa, Greece. This piece displays an unusually attractive combination of color, luster, and form. As a serpentine-group mineral, antigorite is commonly quite understated in appearance and may not immediately attract the attention of collectors. Here, however, the deep green coloration, delicate sheen, and intriguing “wavy” form create a particularly appealing specimen. Field-collected in February 2022.
